Time to make those Thanksgiving holiday week movie plans with information for parents and caregivers on films that begin opening on wide release, starting November 20, 2009, which includes ratings and trailers (if trailers are approved for all audience age levels) or clips, summaries, outlines, overview or synopses (just click on titles to view.)
As always, you are the single best judge for determining your child’s choice of entertainment.
Opening November 20, 2009 – Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans – R because of drug use and language issues throughout the film; also some violence and sexuality. (Synopsis as trailer approved for appropriate audiences only.)
Opening November 20, 2009 – The Blind Side– PG-13, because of one scene that involves brief violence, drug and sexual references. (Featurette as trailer approved for appropriate audiences only.)
Opening November 20, 2009 –Broken Embraces– R, because of the film’s sexual content, language issues and some drug material. (Trailer approved for all audiences.)
Opening November 25, 2009 – The Fantastic Mr. Fox– PG, because of action, smoking and slang humor in the film. (Various film clips as trailer approved for appropriate audiences only.)
Opening November 25, 2009 – Me and Orson Welles – PG-13 because of sexual references and smoking. (International trailer.)
Opening November 25, 2009 – Ninja Assassin– R, because of strong bloody stylized violence throughout the film and language issues. (Synopsis as trailer approved for appropriate audiences only.)
Opening November 25, 2009 – Old Dogs- PG, because of some mild rude humor. (Internet trailer.)
Opening November 20, 2009 –Planet 51– PG, because of mild science fiction action, and some suggestive humor. (Trailer approved for all audiences)
Opening November 20, 2009 –Red Cliff– R, because of the film’s sequences of epic warfare. (Trailer from United Kingdom prior release)
Opening November 25, 2009 – The Road- R, because of some violence, disturbing images and language issues. (Trailer approved for all audiences.)
Opening November 20, 2009 –The Twilight Saga: New Moon– PG-13, because of some violence and action in the film. (Featurette as trailer approved for appropriate audiences only.)
