An edict is a proclamation issued by monarchs and dictators on their subjects for the purpose of imposing “their will” on their people whether their people like it or not.
History is full of proof that their subjects neither wanted their interference, nor did they like what their kings, queens and/or rulers imposed upon them and they were frustrated because they didn't have the freedom to choose. Throughout history we see that wars and upheaval was usually the end result.
Here at home, it is the very reason that the Revolutionary War was fought.
To free America from the dictates of the monarchy.
To give Americans a voice, by becoming a self-governing populace.
In America however, the edict can still exist only here it is called the “Executive Order.”
The President signed 23 Executive Orders recently and it amazes me that he is allowed to continue to bypass the Congress this way.
Doing so only proves to me that Obama thinks nothing of wiping his feet on our Constitution whenever it pleases him to do so.
Perhaps Obama was never told that being the President of the United States of America doesn't mean that he is a king.
Having listened to Obama's recent inauguration speech, I feel pressed to say this:
I hope you won't be fooled into drinking the Obama cool-aid that flows throughout this speech.
He is a bad actor who promised to be transparent, yet the only transparency associated with him is that he is the same incompetent that has brought the debt to 16 trillion and counting, who continues to spend more money than any other President before him despite record high unemployment that is hurting our Nation.
Obama's inconsistencies are catching up with him though. He made this speech criticizing the raising of the debt limit in 2006 when he was a Senator:
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

This same pontificating blowhard is now President again and he is hard at work to RAISE the debt ceiling and mire us all in even more debt.

This You Tube video features the well known “Obama Phone Lady” and is titled “The Obama Phone Lady Wakes Up” and though this video is rather entertaining, the information in it is true and its sentiments are sincere.

In this video we see Obama promising not to raise taxes on people making $250,000.00 a year or less.
Since these promises were made however, 77% of the people of the United States of America, basically all working people, have been hit with a huge tax increase.

Included also in the “Obama Phone Lady Wakes Up” video, we see that Obama promised not to take guns away from law-abiding citizens who are gun owners and it also shows Obama saying that he supports the Second Amendment, yet.... in Obama's second inaugural address he derides the Second Amendment, calling it obsolete!
Much of this rush to “take all the guns away from everybody” comes on the heels of the recent tragic shootings.
The truth is we are all horrified by the heinous acts of violence that have been committed by criminals and mentally ill people and we all want it to stop...but lets not throw the baby out with the bath water here..... it is paramount to remember that these horrible crimes were not committed by law-abiding citizens who own guns.
The liberal media has had a heyday with these deplorable actions lately which has only fueled the fire and has resulted in the unjust vilification and witch hunting of law-abiding citizens who are responsible gun owners. As the media paints them with the same brush as the evil men who have committed these heinous crimes.
The mainstream news media has even reported the Sandy Hook shooting incorrectly. They said the shooter used an assault rifle. The truth was finally revealed that the shooter used automatic hand weapons. That the only rifle found was in the trunk of the shooter's car and was a regular rifle that never made it into the building.
Not that the instrument used to commit this unspeakable tragedy makes any difference at all, the outcome is still the same absolute worst case scenario, the stuff that nightmares are made out of, and while we will all endeavor to move forward we will never forget it, nor should we.
Yet these tragedies have bred a certain kind of hysteria and the result seems that, if you are a law-abiding responsible gun owner, make no mistake about it....the witch hunt is on and you are the target.
Marine Corp. Veteran Joshua Boston spoke up about it in a letter to Senator Dianne Feinstein:
This excerpt from that article to me clearly points out the inherent problems of government interference with our Second Amendment rights.
“Senator Dianne Feinstein,
I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain.
I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.
I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.
I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.
I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.
We, the people, deserve better than you.

This letter brings to my mind history, in a time when a madman dis-armed and took over a whole country and tried but thankfully, failed to take over the world:
1930's Germany, where one part of the population; the Jews, were demonized and targeted by Adolph Hitler and his Nazi Party.
The Jews did nothing to deserve the horror that was perpetrated upon them by this dictator and his henchmen.
These innocent people were left with no one to stand up for them, nowhere to run, no one to protect them and no way to protect themselves.
They were forced to “register” just before they were rounded up, stripped of everything they owned, then packed like sardines into railroad cars that took them to the cursed concentration camps where Hitler's ordered genocide of the Jews cost six million lives....men, women and children alike were slaughtered at his command.
Now, I'm not even vaguely intimating that this would ever happen to law-abiding gun owning citizens in America, but the same mentality that existed in Hitler's Nazi Germany is alive and well when it comes to unjustly vilifying people who legally practice their Second Amendment rights and lawfully and responsibly own firearms in a time when such tragic shootings such as those in Colorado and in the elementary school are spread out on the front pages of every newspaper or at the top of every news cast.
Vilifying innocent law abiding citizens is stinkin' thinkin to me and recently it reared its ugly head in the news.
Recently in Connecticut, lawmakers wanted to invade personal privacy and make the names of law-abiding citizens who legally own guns, public.
In view of the present witch hunt on law-abiding citizens who legally own guns, one can only shiver to think of what could have happened to any one of those law-abiding citizens who are responsible gun owners, due to the hysteria over the recent tragic events, had that proposal been adopted.
Again, it is supremely important to remind everyone that the heinous, horrific acts that preceded this witch hunt were perpetrated by criminals and mentally ill people.
No law that threatens to curtail or take away our Second Amendment rights, will ever stop crimes from being committed with guns and other weapons.
Criminals, as well as mentally ill people, like the ones that are reported in the media lately have and will always be able to get access to guns and other weapons no matter what laws this administration tries to impose on law-abiding American people.
Our Second Amendment rights as well as all the other rights that our Constitution guarantees to every American, make us who we are as Americans.... and they must be preserved and never tampered with.
Our Founding Fathers knew the tyranny of the kings only too well and the Second Amendment was their way of insuring the protection of all Law-abiding American citizens against tyranny from invaders against our democracy then and in the future.
Thankfully Senator Rand Paul and others are working to preserve our Second Amendment rights.
The Presidential oath of office as specified in Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution:
“I …...do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
Preserve the Constitution means not to change it.
Protect the Constitution means making sure that it is kept from being tampered with or changed.
Defend the Constitution means that the President will act in accordance with the statutes, laws and rights within the Constitution and not seek to change it.
However as I listened to the speech, it became clear to me that what he had just sworn to do had nothing to do with his agenda. I was not only appalled at Obama's speech, I found it to be almost in conflict with the Presidential Oath of Office that he had just taken.
A lot of what Obama said in his second inaugural speech was like reading the George Orwell novel,“1984” about a dystopian society where the government controls literally everything.
In the hellish existence of Orwell's 1984, individuality, free thought, ones own opinions and even love are strictly forbidden.
For the book, Orwell created something called “news-speak” where even the words that the totalitarian government or “Big Brother” used to communicate to the populace in the story were employed specifically to discourage free thought by outlawing certain words.
Orwell's point was that the government could control the populace through the words they used.
I found that the words the president used in his second inaugural speech were creepily reminiscent of this dynamic.
I am happy to find that I was not alone in my feelings about Obama's speech and I wholeheartedly agree with several of the comments made about it as well as with Ben Shapiro's comments regarding it, who I feel really hit the nail on the head here.

It is clear to me that, through the use of his numerous Executive Orders, Obama
has been and is still trying to impose “his will” on the American people by going around Congress and side-stepping the Constitution....just like he did with Obamacare.
Obama's actions with Obamacare have now forced the American people to purchase a privately sold commodity (healthcare insurance) or suffer hefty fines if we don't.
If Obama truly wants to score with his second term, his side-stepping of our Constitution and his apparent ardent interest to change it or to try to render obsolete any part of our Constitution, must stop.
America is and has always been perfectly fine under our Constitution just the way our Founding Fathers laid it out. None of the Amendments in our Constitution is obsolete and never will be.
We don't need to change anything about our Constitution....no... not ever... or we would cease to be the United States of America anymore.
The Constitution of the United States is The American Standard and we must stand by it always.
We must never allow anyone to change it or take away any of the rights found in it that are guaranteed to us, the American people through it.
Obama needs to act in accordance at all times with the Constitution of the United States, just as all Presidents before him were required to do, in order to fulfill the public promise he has made each time upon inauguration, when he swore "to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
For we will never find words in the Presidential Oath Of Office that in any way state that the President must swear to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, except... where he or she deems it to be inconvenient, in their way or just decides to declare any part of it “obsolete” so as to suit their own agenda.
In closing, I can't help but wonder if Obama indeed fancies himself a king...from everything this president has done since 2008, Barack Obama certainly acts like he does.
There is an old saying: "Divide and Conquer,” but what does that mean here?
Divide:
Sadly, I have never seen our United States of America so absolutely and utterly divided.
So much so, that one cannot help but wonder if this polarization is being done on purpose.
Conquer:
Conquer what? Our American way of life? Our freedoms? Our Constitution and the protections within it that are guaranteed to every American?
That is the most important question of all here and “we the people of the United States of America” must lay hold of the truthful answer to it immediately... because the future of the United States of America as we know and love her, will be found within the answer.
