The Players Championship live stream and TV coverage for 2014 is scheduled to begin Thursday, May 8 at 7:15 a.m. from sunny Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. On the heels of the Masters, The Players Championship will be the second straight major tournament that will not include Tiger Woods. Lee Westwood will get the Players Championship live stream going as he is scheduled to tee off first tomorrow morning.

According to a New York Daily News report on May 6, Woods still doesn't have a time table set for a return to live action following his back surgery in late March. As much as Woods would love to be on the links, he knows that he may need another month or two before returning to the game he loves.

"My recovery is coming along, but it's a very slow process," Woods said. "I'm still sore. Not from the procedure itself but the incision. I just need to get back to my day-to-day activities, and that's it.

"As for my return to golf, I really don't know," he said. "I'm doing everything I can and listening to my doctors and working on a strength program, and then we just have to see how my back is. Some people heal up in three months, some people take four months, some people take longer. I just don't know."

With or without Tiger, the game will go on, and the game has several rising stars that are playing some great golf right now. Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott have become the new "dueling duo" of late as both always seem to be battling for a possible weekly victory. Las Vegas odds makers expect both of them to be floating around the top of the leaderboard in the final round for The Players Championship this Sunday.
