The Place is 'the place' to be in Boston

The Faneuil Hall area of Boston just got better with the re-opening of former hot spot, The Place. Formerly a nightlife stop, The Place is under new ownership of Sam Slater and Brad Goldberg. First, they hired Taniya Nayak to re-design the look, and then, they worked on the menu conversion.

The result opens to the public today, March 14, at 2 Broad St., as The Place premiers as an after-work stop to enjoy a pub menu that includes caprese sandwiches, thin-crust, hand-stretched pizza (this $8 item is served until 2 a.m.), sliders (chicken parm is a good choice), salads and made fresh in-house chicken tenders, all priced from $7 to $19 and available from 4-10 p.m. Oh, and a great place to enjoy some after-work cocktails and atmosphere. If there's a sports game on, all the better, as the walls of The Place are dotted with televisions -- and there are more that surround the bar area overhead.

Want something more than small bites? You're in luck. Full-size grass-fed burgers ($13) come with a choice of side salad, side Caesar, French fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings or tater tots. Or you can get a turkey burger or any number of the 8 sandwishces on the menu.

The Place is located at 2 Broad Street in Boston’s Faneuil Hall neighborhood. The Place is open weekdays from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., and weekends from noon to 2 a.m. For more information, call 617-523-2081 or visit www.theplaceboston.com.
