The Turning Stone Resort Casino has partnered with Saranac Brewery to pair specially selected beers from the century-old, award-winning brewery with a five-course dinner at Wildflowers Restaurant, the AAA Four Diamond rated restaurant in The Lodge on Wednesday, February 22. “Pair It With Your Pints” will appeal to beer lovers interested in exploring how different beers can enhance flavors and composition of foods. Move over wine aficionados. Beer is moving Uptown. It is about time!
Hors d’oeurves will be offered with three different options, including Bohemian Pilsner, Pale Ale and Lake Effect. The appetizer and small courses each have their own pairing. A beer flight tasting occurs with the entrees which include Black Forest matched with Beer and Cheese filled Agnolotti, Adirondack Logger with Barbeque Lamb Ribs, Ube Ale served with Caloote of Beef and Chocolate Lager sipped with Oaxaca Mole of Duck Leg. Even dessert weaves in the theme with Jaffa Ice Cream and Beer Toffee Espresso Emulsion served with Blood Orange Chocolate Tipped Saranac. Guest speakers from Saranac Brewery will be on hand to enhance the exploration and elaborate on the beer and food pairings. “Pair It With Your Pints” is priced at $85 per person and begins at 6:30 p.m. in Wildflowers Restaurant.
