The People vs. George Lucas – May 13 in Santa Monica

May 5, 2011 – This is for you Star Wars fans who may (or may not) love George Lucas.

The People vs. George Lucas is a feature documentary directed by Alexandre O. Philippe that examines the love/hate relationship the millions of Star Wars fans have with its filmmaker.  It is a compilation of opinions of both those who say the prequels to the original movie should have never happened, and those who will defend Lucas’ work to the end.  The opinions were gathered from fan footage from around the world and from people knowledgeable in the business such as film directors and producers.

The documentary has been following the film festival circuit but will stop in Los Angeles for a few days beginning May 13.  It will showcase at the Nuart Theatre, located at 11272 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles CA.  Click here to purchase tickets.
