The Patterson House recently became the proud owners of a very special barel of Four Roses Boubon. Bottled at barrel proof (122 proof) it was aged 9 years and 7months at Four Roses Cox's Creek facility Kentucky. The Bourbon was made with a mashbill that contained a lot of Rye. The barrel in question was unanimously selected by the tasting panel from ten barrels tasted.
The special selection is of course available by itself and is also on the new Winter menu in The Patterson House Brooklyn. This concoction combines the Four Roses Single Barrel with house made Amer Picon and Blood Orange Bitters as well as dry vermouth and Maraschino liqueur.
The drink has been a big seller thus far with it’s dark flavors and touch of sweetness. It appeals to Manhattan and Old Fashioned drinkers alike. As you can imagine it packs a pretty good punch as well.
The Patterson House teamed up with local retailer Midtown Wine and Spirits to make this special single barrel Bourbon available for those wanting to take a bottle home while supplies last.
