The #PassionProject is a program created by American Express to enable, motivate, and encourage people to pursue their passions. Young fashion designer, Yvonne Luong, is one of the company's recipients with an inspirational story.
Yvonne loves designing clothes; it is an organic endeavor that she has been passionate about since she was a child. Her story is told through American Express’ unique program, the Passion Project, which supports a new generation of makers, undiscovered artists, creators and mold-breakers. The fashion designer has an inspirational story, as told through the attached video. It is one of a self-taught, do-it-yourself young girl, who designs and makes dresses from scratch using unconventional materials.
The inspiring young designer, Yvonne Luong, can craft a dress for anyone, and a few years ago, the person that needed one most was her little sister. Days before the prom, Yvonne created a dazzling gown that saved the evening and made her an instant Reddit sensation.
Future designers and fashionistas can watch Yvonne’s story above and then take her crash fashion course in DIY sketching, designing dresses and dyeing fabrics.
