'The Partridge Family's' Dave Madden dead at 82: Reuben Kincaid to baby boomers

The Partridge Family’s” Dave Madden, who played the manager, Reuben Kincaid, is dead today at age 82. “The Partridge Family,” which was a baby boomer staple for TV watching in the 70s watched Dave Madden play Reuben as Danny Partridge, Danny Bonaduce, gave Reuben a run for his money.

According to US Magazine on Jan. 16. Madden died of congestive heart and kidney failure on Thursday morning. He died in Florida, but it is not known if he was at home or in some type of medical facility.

One of the first people to take to Twitter to talk about his good friend and mentor's passing was Bonaduce, tweeting on Thursday night:

"Dave Madden was a great guy & like family to me. He taught me to drive a car when I was 10. One of many great memories. I'll truly miss him."

Madden’s biggest role in the entertainment business was probably his time with “The Partridge Family.” The show ended in 1974 and Madden went on to have guest appearances on shows including “Starsky and Hutch,” “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” and “Boy Meets World,” along with other shows.

Madden’s voice over in “Adventures in Odyssey: The Last Days of Eugene Meltsner” in 2000, was his last credit in his acting career.
