'The Partridge Family' Dave Madden dies at age 82

Dave Madden died Thursday at a hospice center in Florida, according to a Jan. 16 report by E! News. Madden was 82.

Madden played the kid-hating manager Reuben Kincaid on the 1970s musical sitcom “The Partridge Family”.

Danny Bonaduce tweeted his condolences for the actor. He said, “Dave Madden was a great guy & like family to me. He taught me to drive a car when I was 10. One of many great memories. I’ll try miss him.” [SIC]

Bonaduce’s interaction with Madden’s character produced a lot of laughs on the show.

Madden also played on several other classic TV sitcoms. He had roles on “Bewitched”, “Happy Days”, “The Love Boat” and “Fantasy Island”. His final television performance was on “Sabrina, The Teenage Witch” in 1998.

Madden served in the Air Force before pursuing a full-time acting career. He worked in the Special Services unit as an entertainer.

Dave Madden is survived by his wife, Sandra, and two children from a previous marriage, according to several reports.
