“The Partridge Family” comedy actor Dave Madden died at the age of 82 on Thursday, according to a Yahoo! News report on Thursday night. Madden portrayed the agent to the musical-family band, the Partridge Family, in the 1970s when the show was a popular television program.
The actor’s character was named Reuben Kinkaid and often had run-ins with a little guy in the Partridge family – played by Danny Bonaduce. Besides Madden and Bonaduce performing in the situation comedy television program, Shirley Jones co-starred with her real-life stepson David Cassidy.
Madden was born in Ontario, Canada, but was raised in North Terre Haute, Indiana. His years as an entertainer commenced with a nightclub comedy act. From there, he obtained his first job as an actor by performing in “Camp Runamuck” which was a situation comedy that aired in the 1960s. He also made appearances on such television series as “Bewitched” and “Barney Miller.”
According to his niece Mary Francis Miller, he passed away at a hospice center near his home near Jacksonville, Florida.
