The Parise Rossignol show is coming to the Bangor Auditorium

Parise Rossignol became the quickest player in Maine high school basketball history to score 1000 career points during a 79-22 victory over Greater Houlton Christian on January 28th.

The sophomore has led the Van Buren Crusaders to a 16-3 record including a 44 point effort in a 63-40 victory over the Jonesport-Beals in a class D prelim game on Tuesday evening.

Rossignol captured the Eastern Maine Sports Blog and the Eastern Maine high school examiner's athlete of the week three times this winter.

With that victory, Van Buren advances to a class D quarterfinal game against Shead (13-6). Game time is scheduled for 7 PM on Monday, February 21st at the Bangor Auditorium.

While Rossignol carries most of the scoring load for the Crusaders, freshman Felisha Bouchard also contributes. Seniors Ashley Wilson and Natasha Bourgoin are also key players for the Crusaders. Wilson had 12 rebounds while Bourgoin had eight blocks in the victory over Jonesport-Beals.
