Charlottesville's own, homegrown and locally sourced Collective of Lady Arm Wrestlers, or CLAW for short, began in 2008 as a joke between two friends. Learn all about at the Paramount Theaters running of CLAW The Movie at 8:00 p.m. ($10 adults; $8 youths 12 and under) on Saturday, January 18, or check out their Facebook page.

Relive Indiana Jones’ first adventure from the 1980s with Paramount Presents: Raiders of the Lost Ark (PG) on Sunday, January 19, at 2:00 p.m. ($6 adults; $4 youths 12 and under). This movie is classic Steven Spielberg and always worth a re-watch.

Enjoy an oldie but goodie with Paramount Presents: Sabrina (1954) on Sunday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. ($6 adult; $4 youth 12 and under). Let Humphrey Bogart, Audrey Hepburn and William Holden heat up the start of winter 2014 with this 1954 romantic comedy.

Mature audiences can enjoy the stand-up show A Little Unprofessional with comedian Ron White who returns to the Paramount Theater on Thursday, January 30 at 7:30 p.m. (tickets start at $53.75). Purchase one of two types of VIP tickets to get premium seats, autographs and at top of the line tickets, a small group Q&A with Ron White.

Why not make your visit to Charlottesville an overnight weekend or mid-week getaway? Schedule a little romance for winter 2014. Valentines is fast approaching: dinner and a movie anyone? Charlottesville has several great romantic dinner options.

And with lodging available at the Omni Charlottesville at the west end of the Charlottesville Downtown Mall, and The Paramount Theater of Charlottesville about midway down the Mall, the car could stay parked all weekend, while you and your sweetie lounge or walk the Mall, drinking in the Charlottesville environs.

The Paramount Theater of Charlottesville is located at 215 East Main Street, Charlottesville, VA, 22902 and the Box Office is open Monday-Friday 10AM-2PM. General and ticketing information is online; for more information call the Box Office at 434.979.1333 or email at boxoffice@theparamount.net.
