The Paramount adds 'Under the Sun' tour to stacked summer lineup

According to a March 25 tweet from The Paramount, Long Island's hottest live performance venue has added Sugar Ray's "Under the Sun" tour to its summer schedule.

"90s music fans get excited! #UnderTheSunTour is BACK featuring @sugarrayband @smashmouth @blues_traveler and @unclekracker - 7/29," the venue tweeted.

Under The Sun, the annual summer festival tour celebrating the best in '90s alternative rock, features a stacked lineup this year, including pop rock standouts Sugar Ray, Blues Traveler, Smash Mouth and Uncle Kracker.

Last year was the first go-round for Under the Sun, and 2014 is shaping up to be even bigger. Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath is excited for a long summer on the road and performing for New York music fans at The Paramount.

"Looking forward to once again spending the summer with my friends, performing the hits we all love," says Sugar Ray's Mark McGrath. "This is one of the strongest lineups we have put together so far. All four bands are capable of headlining Under The Sun, so get there early!"

Under the Sun stops at the Paramount on July 29, smack dap in the middle of summer.

"This is going to be the party of the summer," Uncle Kracker said of the Under the Sun tour. "Can't wait to hit the road with some of my old friends, looking forward to making some new ones."

Tickets for the Paramount stop of Under the Sun will go on sale to the public on Fri. March 28th at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com or phone at 800-745-3000.

The Paramount Box Office, open daily until 6 p.m., will also be selling tickets for the event.
