The Palos Verdes Land Conservancy presents a volunteer orientation

This is your chance to become a volunteer with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy!

It’s fun, it’s healthy and it makes a difference!

Make a difference as a volunteer by joining the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy for a Volunteer Orientation on January 26, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Ladera Linda Community Center located at 32201 Forrestal Drive in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Come learn about the different volunteer opportunities - from enhancing habitat and trails, to educating and outreach to the community.

Meet the staff and volunteers who will describe current habitat restoration projects, education programs and new volunteer positions.

Learn how you can be an education docent for student field trips, a nature walk leader, assist in a native plant demonstration garden in the nursery, monitor wildlife and habitat on the preserves, be involved in special events and much more.

Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Executive Director Andrea Vona says “Volunteers are the backbone of the Conservancy in our mission to preserve land and restore habitat while sharing the open space and its benefits with our community. Our diverse volunteer base is a tremendously talented group and we are grateful for the time that they dedicated in service to preserve and steward open space on the Peninsula. We are excited to gather our existing volunteers and welcome new folks into our volunteer family during this open house event.”
