20th Century Fox's comedy "The Other Woman" debuted at No. 1 at the U.S. and Canadian box office for the weekend ending April 27, 2014. According to a Box Office Mojo report published on April 27, "The Other Woman" (starring Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton) had 24.7 million in ticket sales for the weekend ending April 27, 2014.

Two other movies opened in wide release in the U.S. and Canada on April 25, 2014:

Relativity Media's action flick "Brick Mansions" (starring Paul Walker) debuted at No. 5, with $9.6 million in ticket sales.

Lionsgate's horror film "The Other Ones" (starring Jared Harris and Sam Clafin) debuted at No. 7, with $4 million in ticket sales.

According to Box Office Mojo, here are the Top 5 movies in the U.S. and Canada for the weekend ending April 27, 2014:

1. "The Other Woman" — $24.7 million

2. "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" — $16 million

3. "Heaven Is for Real" — $13.8 million

4. "Rio 2" — $13.65 million

5. "Brick Mansions" — $9.6 million

And here are the opening-weekend box-office numbers for the movies that opened in limited release on April 25, 2014:

  • "Walking With the Enemy" — $357,000 from 258 theaters
  • "Locke" — $89,200 from four theaters
  • "The German Doctor" — $35,000 from five theaters
  • "Blue Ruin" — $31,800 from seven theaters (Also premiered on VOD on April 25, 2014)
  • "Last Passenger" — $9,100 from 10 theaters
  • "For No Good Reason" — $5,000 from two theaters
