Fans of "The Originals" saw more than one game-changing moment during the season one finale, and next season is promising big things. Mikael is back. Esther appears to be back. Hope is off with Aunt Rebekah, and Haley is now a hybrid. Yes. game-changer is the only word that fits the finale episode. On May 14, Julie Plec shared a bit about what fans can look forward to next season with Entertainment Weekly.

Production began on season two of this series long before the finale aired last night. The action is moving forward, and Klaus will do all he can to rid New Orleans of the witches that want his child dead. He has bought his family time because they believe Baby Mikaelson is dead. She isn't though. Claire Holt returned to the series as Rebekah, and she has taken the baby off into hiding. Julie Plec revealed that fans will see Rebekah again on the series, but the plot line surrounding the baby in hiding will not be a main focus.

The final moments of the finale saw a witch return, and she was not alone. Esther is back, and she wanted to kill her children since she appeared on "The Vampire Diaries." Her mission is still to end them, but she will not be the only witch in town. Lenore will be another witch that will pop during episode three of season two, and she will be another foe for Klaus. Season two will also introduce a paranormal psychologist and a rocker chick, according to Wetpaint Entertainment.

This series has changed things completely with the finale. Fans may see more of Klaus' family pop up before the end of season two. Mikael is also back, and Davina will use him at some point. A family reunion in New Orleans? That is a definite for "The Originals."
