'The Originals' season 2: It won't be good to be a vampire

"The Originals" proved to be a successful spin-off of "The Vampire Diaries." Fans are looking forward to what will happen in season 2 since the first centered around Hayley's pregnancy. It turns out that it won't be very good to be a vampire when the series returns. On Aug. 12, Enstars revealed some interesting information about Mikael and Ester, Klaus and Hayley and more.

As fans already know, Mikael and Esther will be causing trouble for their children. However, executive producer Julie Plec told Buddy TV that they are not necessarily working together, at least in the beginning. Plec said that Mikael and Esther will not even know about each other until the sixth episode.

She also teased that New Orleans has been shaken to its core and it won't be good to be a vampire. The second part of that statement makes perfect sense since the werewolves are now in control.

"The Originals" season 2 will pick up four months after the conclusion of the first season. When the show returns, Elijah comes up with a plan so others buy the dead baby story. Klaus will not be allowed to leave the house, which makes him angry and he will need to "spill blood." The vampires have pretty much been decimated. Those that did survive are with Marcel, on the other side of the river.

Expect Mikael to cause problems for Klaus, but he is still under Davina's control. Viewers will also get to see some history on Mikael and Esther. Michael Narducci is writing the episode that will tell their love story. Fans will finally get to find out what turned Mikael into the monstrous man he is and how Esther became the woman she is. As for how they were able to return, the collapse of the Other Side allowed Esther to come back. Don't expect any other people to return though, it has been made clear that there will be no more bringing people back.

As for Hayley, she has postpartum depression and is now a hybrid. Not only that, but she is grieving for her child because she had to give Hope to Rebekah. However, spoilers tease that Rebekah will return and she won't be empty-handed. Some are wondering if she will return with baby Hope or if she is coming back with someone or something else.

Are you looking forward to "The Originals" season 2? There isn't too much time left to wait, the show will return to the CW on Oct. 6.
