'The Originals': Julie Plec teases craziness for Klaus and Rebekah

"The Originals" showed Klaus and Rebekah captured by the witches on CW last night, and there is even more drama ahead for the pair of siblings. On Feb. 4, E! Online shared new comments made by Julie Plec about the series and what is coming up next when the series returns from its short hiatus. The CW Television Network also shared a preview for the next episode.

The witches are at war with the vampires in New Orleans, and now they have Klaus and Rebekah held somewhere. Elijah chose to save Hayley and not his sister on last night's episode. Now, this series will do something new. Plec teased the following:

We go outside of the Quarter and we put Rebekah and Klaus into a trap situation in a creepy, horrible, messed up sanitarium from back in the day, and Genevieve, just basically working between the two of them, enacts her revenge. We'll learn why Genevieve's revenge is so specifically targeted towards Rebekah and what exactly she's going to do to make Rebekah suffer as much as possible.

As for Elijah, he will feel guilt over his choice. He could have saved his sister, but he chose to save the 'little wolf' instead. Julie Plec did tease that the baby will arrive before the end of the season to Entertainment Weekly. There is also a new love triangle in the works. Hayley found out that she was supposed to marry the wolf that has been watching her. Elijah will not be happy about this bit of news.

There was a death on last night's episode as well, and Julie Plec did touch on that. Sophie Deveraux was killed by her niece for not having faith. Plec revealed that this death will likely stick. This will be the last fans see of Daniella Pineda on the series.

What did you think of last night's episode? Are you excited to see what happens next? "The Originals" will return to CW on Feb. 25.
