Danielle Campbell is talking about Davina’s death on “The Originals” and sharing details about the producers. Wetpaint reports on March 25 that Campbell was not warned about her character being temporarily killed. Since death is a large part of the show, the executive producer likes to warn the cast about a character’s fate.

At PaleyFest, “The Originals” shared a short clip that showed Elijah and Klaus arguing, and the cast had the chance to talk to the audience. Campbell revealed that she did not get a warning about Davina dying on the show and later received an apology. However, her character’s death was only temporary, so she returned in a few episodes.

The meaning of death is different on “The Originals” since characters can be revived and replaced without hesitation. Executive producer Julie Plec has shared that this is part of the show’s structure and has added that many of the new characters are only made to be killed off on the show. Their short lives may serve a brief purpose, but the producer is not interested in making the cast too large.

Although Davina is back, Rebekah, who is played by Claire Holt, has shared she may not be returning to the show. Despite reports that her absence was temporary, it is not clear if the producers want Rebekah to come back. Plec’s answers have been vague, and she hinted that Rebekah may be seen in flashbacks, but this does not mean she will have a permanent spot on the show.
