"The Originals" is currently on winter break on CW, but fans can expect a lot of girl action when the series returns. On Friday, Dec. 20, E! Online shared new spoilers for the first episode following the winter break. Wetpaint Entertainment also shared new comments made by Claire Holt.
This CW series will make a big return in January, and the next episode will be an entirely girl focused episode. Phoebe Tonkin said the following about the Jan. 14 episode to E! Online:
It's nice, especially with a show where there's two very strong male figures, for a whole episode specifically about the girls. It's about time, being like, enough is enough. We're doing to do our own thing. Especially when you have Davina, who is the most powerful and you have Rebekah who is the most powerful vampire, man or woman, it's about time we kind of acknowledge that.
Rebekah is played by Claire Holt, and the character has dealt with a lot on this series. Her relationship with her brother is not at the best state, and she just lost the man she loved because it would cause problems with his relationship with Klaus. Marcel wants to rule, and he won't be able to do that if he angers Klaus. Holt said the following about Rebekah and Klaus, according to Wetpaint:
I’m not sure that [Klaus] ever can [earn back her trust]. He has to prove himself to be worthy of that trust and he doesn’t, so until he makes some sort of changes, I think she’s always going to be wary of him.
At the end of the last episode, Elijah went to apologize to Klaus. Elijah was then told that he could return with Rebekah to their home in the city. Will Elijah and Rebekah take Klaus up on the invitation?
"The Originals" will return to CW on Jan. 14.
