The Original Rubber Stamp Convention

The Original Rubber Stamp Convention will be holding it's semi-annual San Jose show on Saturday, April 17th at Rosewater Hall (1180 Murphy Avenue, San Jose 95131).

The show is a one day event with doors opening at 9am and closing at 4pm. Expected at the show are 18 different rubber stamp vendors. They include:

A Stamp In The Hand Co.~ Alexx Kesh & Co. ~ Hannah Grey ~ Hanko Designs ~ Judi-Kins ~ Just Imagine ~ K Kreations ~ Krazy Kreations ~ Lost Coast Designs ~ Metropolitan Scrapbook Company  ~ Printworks Collection ~ Rubber Stamp Concepts ~ Stamp Happy ~ Stamp On Over ~ Stamp Out Cute ~ Studios Blackbird ~ Tessler Stamps/Stencils Co. ~ The Stamp Doctor

Vendors provide product demonstrations. Some vendors also include "Make It and Take It" where show attendees are given the opportunity  to make a small project with product provided by the vendor for a hands-on experience.

Admission to the show is $6 (children under 12 are free). The box office will be open at 8:30am. Discount tickets, for $5, are available in advance at Cranberry Hill Mercantile (1014 West El Camino Real, Sunnyvale) and Memories Live On (10191 S. DeAnza Blvd., Cupertino).

For those interested, there will also be an ATC (Artist Trading Card) competition. Attendees are encouraged to bring their original ATCs to the show for judging. Entries are due by 11am and winners will be announced at 2pm on the day of the show.  Winners will receive "Mad Money" which they can then spend at any of the vendor booths. (Winners must be present to win.)

Throughout the day, there will be mini-lectures as well as door prizes. If you want to make a weekend out of it, the Beverly Heritage Hotel (Milpitas 800-443-4455) is providing a discounted rate starting at $69 a night for attendees.

If you are unable to attend the event, The Original Rubber Stamp Convention will be holding a show in Sacramento on May 22 and will be back in San Jose for their fall show on October 16, 2010. For more information, you can contact them at theoriginalrsc@aol.com.
