OGREs, Inc. is an international network of analog gaming clubs with over 30 chapters across three conti-nents and growing. In 2011, OGREs began a program known as the OGRE awards, or the OGGIEs, named after the organization’s mascot Oggie the Ogre. Though similar in basic premise as the much larger prestigious pro-grams known as the ENnies or Origin awards, the OGGIEs are not necessarily reflective of content released in a specific year. Instead, most categories simply showcase items loved and utilized by members during the year.
This program was opened for members to nominate their favorites for open voting, and that voting period began on September 1st of 2011 and ran until the end of October. During this period, the organization was glad to receive 4,073 unique votes - 78 percent by members and the rest by the general public.
Now, after tallying those votes we - the Board of Directors of OGREs, Inc - gladly announce the winners and runner-ups for each category. We join in with our own membership and those members of the public at large who voted in expressing our gratitude for the individuals, companies, and their products listed here. Representa-tives from those company who wish to do so may carry on their product, portfolio, or other appropriate places the Golden or Silver OGGIE statuette, shown above, which is obtainable via the contact method provided above.
