The Orange Legion, Dutch Lions supporters group to meet this Sunday

The Orange Legion, the official supporters group of the Dayton Dutch Lions, is holding an organizational meeting this Sunday, April 18th, at 1pm at The Pub Located at the Greene in Beavercreek.

The Orange Legion gets it's name from the Dutch National Team's color and the passionate outward display of it's fans.  When the Dutch National Team plays a home match, the streets and stadium are completely covered in the orange.  From flags, to hats, to painted faces and bodies, the outpouring of support among the Dutch fans is second to none.  The color orange represents creativity, passion and willpower, all attributes of the Dayton Dutch Lions.

Like the Dutch supporters, the Dayton Dutch Lions wish to create their own "Orange Legion."  So, there will be many activities lined up on match day for supporters.  Details and other activities can be found on the under Game Day Activities on the team website.

Members of the Orange Legion, and those wishing to join, are invited to gather at the Pub (the official supporters Bar of the Dutch Lions) to discuss the upcoming season.  Among the discussion topics will be location of the supporters group in the Stadium, team chants, poster making, and other ideas for the season.

Updates can be found on the Orange Legion's official website, The Orange Legionnaire.  You can also follow The Orange Legion on Twitter at
