The Only Way to Cruise Through Fall Foliage

See also

Looking for a unique perspective on enjoying the fall color changes? This fall there is an enormous amount of cruise ships, both large and small, heading down the coast line for an incredible panoramic view of the fall foliage - and not just in one spot.

Ships are cruising north from New York, Boston and local US ports and moving into the beautiful waters of New England and Canada.

Some of the cruise lines that have itineraries that head that way:

  • Carnival Cruise Lines
  • Celebrity Cruises
  • Crystal Cruises
  • Cunard
  • Holland America
  • Norwegian Cruise Line
  • Princess Cruises
  • Royal Caribbean
  • Seabourn

Check with your local travel agent on the itineraries that are specific to enjoying the fall foliage. And if you want to view while onboard and not wait to stop in ports, be sure to ask your agent for itineraries on smaller ships like the Seabourn so you can enjoy getting closer to land views.

And if you want to get even closer - consider doing a river cruise up the Mississippi on a steamboat like the American Queen. Most of those sailings begin in New Orleans and you can enjoy incredible foliage on both sides as you cruise away into the night.
