The one man filibuster gets beat

After one week ,Sen. Bunning (R-KY) has decided to give up on his filibuster to stop legislation that would give 200,000 Americans the unemployment benefits necessary to feed their families.  Sen. Bunning's objection to the bill stems from the lack of funding for the unemployment benefits.  He believes that the government should not borrow money in order to fund welfare programs.  The democratic majority urged Sen. Bunning to introduce an amendment that would pay for the bill, instead of holding up the much needed benefits to innocent Americans.  Finally, today he took their advice and ended his filibuster and introduced and amendment.  The amendment is likely to fail and as a result the bill will pass.

About time a Republican gets some bad press for the radical moves the party has been making for a year.
Still, I doubt people will get the concept and as a consequence the Republican Party will continue to get polical points for being the party of NO!
    What a Shame.
