SoloDuo is the name under which Italian guitar virtuosos Matteo Mela and Lorenzo Micheli give joint performances. This month they will be the featured artists in the next program organized solely by the Omni Foundation for the Performing Arts for their Dynamite Guitars concert season. Their repertoire ranges from the early Baroque period through all subsequent centuries into the present day. The highlight of their San Francisco concert will be the world premiere of a sonatina that Alexandre Tansman composed for Andrés Segovia in 1952, whose manuscript was only recently discovered.

This recital will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, located at 1111 O’Farrell Street, just west of the corner of Franklin Street. General admission will be $34, with discounts of up to 50% for seniors and students available. Further information, including a hyperlink for the purchase of tickets, may be found on the event page of the Omni Guitar Concerts Web site.
