The Ohio Smallmouth Alliance will meet Thursday evening, February 18, at 7 p.m. at Gander Mountain, 2644 Taylor Road Ext., Reynoldsburg, Ohio. The program for the evening will be “First-time Rod Building,” presented by Mark and Brenda Layman. Learn how to build rods at home with minimal equipment and no previous experience. Instructional materials have been donated by Hook & Hackle. Anglers with the patience and skill to learn rod building can get customized rods for less by crafting their own.
Central Ohio Waterways
TOSA President Michael Roley attended a recent Greenways meeting of the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Committee, and he will report on items of interest from that gathering. Since its inception, TOSA has been an advocate for water quality issues affecting smallmouth bass.
TOSA membership
Those interested in joining TOSA may do so at the meeting. Membership will include a subscription to TOSA’s online newsletter and participation in all scheduled fishing and conservation events. Meetings are open to everyone, and all persons interested in Ohio sport fishing and conservation are encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
