Fans of The Office will want to take note that the B.J. Novak, the show’s writer, producer and costar, will grace Powell’s Books located at Cedar Hill Crossing at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 19th to discuss his new short fiction anthology One More Thing; Stories and Other Stories.

The debut anthology contains over sixty short stories that run form a few words to sixty pages. Some of the more unusual stories include the story of a hare’s triumphant comeback after losing a race to a tortoise and an African warlord’s internet date.

Reviews for the book have been very positive.

New York Times critic Michiko Kakutani said “Mr. Novak is nimble at showing how easily the ordinary can morph into the extraordinary,”

“Novak meets -- no, exceeds -- expectations in this collection, firmly establishing him as one of the best humor writers around,” said Andy Lewis of The Hollywood Reporter.

Mr. Novak is a Harvard graduate who is best known for his portrayal of Ryan, the handsome and sleazy temp who became the regional manager, falsified records and returned to the office as a temp, on the American version of The Office.

Mr. Novak is expected to speak about his work and autograph books; early arrival is recommended.
