I really do not get to write about the Maryland House of Delegates very much. Here is my chance.
Last week I wrote about people getting elected to public office because of their last names. Well Frank Conaway Jr. is the best example of this concept in all of Baltimore. Almost every election Frank Conaway Sr. or one of his relatives is running for something. Sometimes they are actually trying to win but other times they are just keeping their name out there. Frank Sr. is currently the clerk of the Baltimore city circuit court. Clerk is a citywide position and it gets his name out there. Since Frank Jr. has the same exact name he instantly has incredible name recognition amongst voters who do not do very much research in to who is running for office. He was able to easily win a seat in the house of delegates despite having very little political experience.
Had voters bothered to do some research they would have found out about the following issues that these links reveal about Baltimore's worst member of the house of delegates:
- Things happen between man and woman and the rearing of children.
- Frank tries to pass a bill for his father.
- Frank fears polygamy.

Another POS in office. Just like daddy.
What do you expect. Baltimore City Voters get the government they vote for, and that's the reason the city is in shambles.
I agree with you Woody. It is a shame though. Its like no one wants to better the city. (As far as politicians go) You would think more citizens would stand up and say enough is enough. Thats what happens when they allsupport these so called social programs. (I.E. welfare)
You don't "get to" write on the House of Delegates that often? Isn't this a the "Politics" Examiner? Not that one would know from the postings in recent weeks...it probably should have been retitled the "I Hate Patricia Jessamy" Examiner. And also, maybe you should look into getting a manual of style and a grammar textbook. Your writing is terrible.
Woody,
How about not making generalizations about everyone who lives in Baltimore City? 30% of Baltimoreans voted against Pat Jessamy in the last primary- many of whom lived in Southeast Baltimore. Why do they deserve the "government they vote for"?
Eli--
