The Oakland Raiders have been playing for 53 years and have had some good point scoring teams in that span. The best one known was the 2000 Raiders that go a 12-4 record that year.
The Raiders official web page published an article on Thursday on their top ten best scoring teams in the history of the franchise with the NFL.
Number one listed was the 2000 Oakland Raiders. That season the Raiders accumulated 479 points, ranked third in the NFL. In the divisional round of the playoffs, they managed to shut out the Dolphins while scoring 27 points.
The 2002 Raiders got fourth place. They registered 450 points, ranking second in the league that season. They also accumulated 91 points in post season and had a Super Bowl appearance in which they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The 1983 Los Angeles Raiders got fifth place. The Silver and Black got 442 points that season, ranking third in the NFL. The LA team went 3-0 in the playoffs, and took down the Washington Redskins in the Super Bowl.
The 2010 Raiders got sixth place with 410 points that year. They ranked 6th in the league, but they only managed to have an 8-8 record, which was not enough to make playoffs.
The 2001 Raiders got the seventh place. They accumulated 399 points and ranked fourth in the NFL. That year, they took out the New York Jets in a wild card playoff game.
The 1999 Raiders got eighth place with 390 points total. Their rank that year was eighth as well. They managed to score over 40 points in two of the final three regular season games.
