The Oakland Raiders sign linebacker Nick Roach from the Chicago Bears

The Oakland Raiders have signed a new defender to the squad on Friday morning. His name is Nick Roach linebacker from the Chicago Bears.

It was reported on the Fansided web page early Friday that Nick Roach signed with the Raiders. No details were given in the article regarding the contract.

Roach was originally picked up by the San Diego Chargers in 2007 as an undrafted free agent. He was picked up by the Bears after being dropped by the Chargers in one year.

At first, Roach had problems getting the starting position as a linebacker with the Bears in the NFL. However, in 2009, Roach had his best year. He started in 15 games for the Bears, had 54 solo tackles, 28 assists, two sacks and three fumble recoveries.

It is believed that Nick Roach was added to accompany Kaluka Maiava in the linebacker zone. Maiava was signed two days by the Raiders from the Cleveland Browns.

The departure of Roach leaves the Bears almost naked at the zone as it is believed that they might lose veteran Brian Urlacher as well.
