Based on the classic film of the same name, the irreverent, zany show is one of the most popular musicals in Broadway history, winning a record twelve Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
“What better way to begin our season of spectacular Broadway blockbusters than with ‘The Producers,’” said James Gruessing, artistic director at the Norris Center for the Performing Arts. “Featuring scene after scene of laugh-out-loud comedy, spectacular costumes and sets, 16 wickedly witty songs, and over-the-top dance numbers, this madcap musical is a unique and unforgettable theatrical experience that must be seen to be believed.”
The Norris Center for the Performing Arts production features a 15-piece orchestra and has recreated the direction and choreography of the original Broadway show by Susan Stroman. It is produced by James Gruessing and directed and choreographed by Matthew J. Vargo, with musical direction by Daniel Thomas.
Performance times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays.
Tickets are $45 and discounted group sales tickets are available.
