Jordan: “Paul, you are an ER doctor. Your job is to think of things that will kill your patient first and label it as benign later. It isn't all about the flashy procedures.”

“Grace Under fire” is the June 17 episode of “The Night Shift.” Reminder: this article has spoilers, so read at your own risk. “The Night Shift” airs Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. central on NBC.

We all knew the drama was coming. Jordan finds out about Landry and TC. There are some words exchanged. Jordan is upset that Landry never told her, which is understandable considering the topic of TC comes up a lot in their conversations. I’m not a fan of the cat fights, but I can understand why this one went as far as it did. Hopefully, this drama is behind us now, but you never know with TV. Do you prefer Landry and Jordan as friends or not so friendly people?

Drew is doing a drill with the army reserves or something. It is fun to watch Drew tackle things on his own. It's more of a team effort in the hospital, so seeing Drew try to treat three people at once is interesting. There's also the out in the middle of nowhere part that makes things exciting. When he mentioned Rick and had to cover it up quickly by saying his brother, my heart broke. I loved the scene at the end where his buddy Javi basically says that he knows Drew is gay without saying it.

Jordan has always seemed like a rule follower, so when she cuts off the DNR bracelet, it seems more of a TC move, which he even admits he would have done the same. There’s a reason for this, thankfully. Jordan shares her tale with Landry because that is who everyone seems to open up to. Don’t get me wrong, given what else that happened in this episode, Jordan needed to tell Landry about her dad, but I wish that we saw characters opening up about their past with someone other than Landry. There are a lot of characters and relationships to flesh out.
