(Sorry about the delay on this, it's a whole week and a day after the show itself... yikes! Let's just blame it on my dial-up.)
Last Sunday night (March 30, 2014), Writer/Actor/Comedian-turned-Rapper Childish Gambino (Community's Donald Glover) took Boston's House of Blues by storm with a sold-out (an extremely sold-out) show. A stop on his Deep Web Tour, this was one of the very best hip-hop shows I've personally ever seen in person (Sorry Jay, Sorry Tech).
Extremely interactive/visual, Childish Gambino's Deep Web Tour is about as personal an experience you're going to have at a club show of this kind. Glover has some issues (all explored with creative honesty on his newest album, "Because the Internet" - which is what a good 90% of the show consisted of), and we're all his therapist. By the end of the night - which was concluded with an epic freestyle session - he gets his head clear, and we get our minds blown.
