One of the more effective tools for marketing your brand and communicating your story remains a digital newsletter. In a recent blog Paul Sokol of Chandler, Arizona based Infusionsoft (www.infusionsoft.com) wrote about the effectiveness of sharing this valuable item.
“Not only are these types of emails a great way to keep in touch with your company’s tribe, but due to the value of newsletters, they are often forwarded and shared around the web because the content is helpful for your audience,” Sokol writes.
Sokol says his experience with social media sharing of newsletters is that the sequence of a campaign should be simple because simple drives bigger results. He notes when someone views a shared newsletter link from a social network like Twitter they will see an original email and an opt-in form so they can sign up for the next newsletter. The opt-in form should be targeted to the visitors so they will get on the list on their own.
All Infusionsoft customers can download the newsletter campaign from the marketplace location on the website. Sokol notes the campaign is suited or people with a newsletter or other type of communication, but you can still use the campaign. The campaign comes with a newsletter email template configured for the social lead generation form and for sharing. “If you already have a newsletter template with your brand and colors the campaign can still be used as there are instructions in the out-of-the-box email which show how to connect everything up to the existing layout,” Sokol notes.
Sokol notes you can add the social share snippet to the video delivery emails and have the form ask where you can send the series. Sokol states you can add social sharing to the event reminder emails and have the form state you would like to have them attend and ask where to send the details. Finally, Sokol mentions adding the social share snippet to promotional emails and ask again where to send details. “Again, the idea is to make it easier to share and make it easy for your social network to join whatever you are participating in,” Sokol states.
