The “Star Wars” rumor mill has been in full motion ever since J.J. Abrams was hired as the director of “Star Wars: Episode VII.”
Zack Snyder (“The Watchmen”) will be helming a spin-off film from the main story-line and it was rumored that his film would be similar to “Seven Samurai,” but that has been disproven.
Amongst all the other rumors a new one has surfaced over at Aint It Cool News today, and they have “learned” that the first standalone movie (the Snyder film) will focus on Master Yoda.
The little green bad-ass that stole every scene he was in since his first appearance in the original trilogy surely has an interesting back story that could be told (he is hundreds of years old), but it isn’t known if this will be about his youth or a follow-up to the events of “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.”
AICN also hears that George Lucas has pitched a Jabba the Hutt movie around Lucasfilm.
I think that would be pretty cool since it would focus more on the criminal underworld of the “Star Wars” universe.
Either way we are in for at least a decade and a half of non-stop “Star Wars” bombardment in all forms of media so we better get used to it.
