The New 'Godzilla' Trailer has been Unleashed

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures knew they had something special with Godzilla right from the very beginning, with the roar of the Comic-Con crowd cheering the very first announcement. And as the film has rounded into shape, adding a talented cast that blockbusters of this size don't usually warrant, the anticipation for the return of the king of all monsters has only grown. The first teaser trailer was impressively moody; the viral campaign has been solid; and now a new full-length trailer has been unleashed.

Directed by visual wiz Gareth Edwards, making his first foray into big-budget filmmaking, he's joined by a stellar cast of Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn, and Juliette Binoche. But the real star is obviously Godzilla, and this footage takes us just a little bit deeper into his origin spurred on by man's utter arrogance towards nature. And when Mother Nature gets angry, you get Godzilla stomping through the city causing havoc and bellowing his mighty roar.

Basically this looks like it may be the biggest, baddest action film of the summer, so watch out. Godzilla hits theaters on May 16th.
