Can you imagine having the flu but no one knows and you can't tell anyone about it? That's what it's like for thousands of dogs that are contracting the new flu virus that affects only dogs.
If you've had the flu, you know how awful it can make you feel and it doesn't make your sick dog feel any different.
Over the past several years, dogs in 30 states have been sickened by a new, year-round dog flu that is continuing to spread. It's highly contagious and every dog is vulnerable to infection.
Fortunately, there's a new canine influenza vaccine available to help protect those loved ones who can't speak for themselves. Talk to your vet to find out if your dog should be vaccinated.

This is good to know. I will talk to my vet.
My dog was affected by the same flu. I brought him to our vet and he exhibited a flu-like symptom that the vet gave him medicines and advised to take him back for a vaccine when he gets better. The vet gave my dog new collars and leashes that have the name of his clinic. These look fancy and nice for my dog and he loves these. http://www.cooldog-gear.com
