According to NBA.com, the 2014-2015 season will begin with a bang. With LeBron James’ highly anticipated return to Cleveland, Derek Rose and Kobe Bryant returning just as good as new, the Phil Jackson era is in full swing in New York and the San Antonio Spurs’ if it’s not broke don’t fix it mentality, next season is sure to begin with a bang.

Cleveland Cavaliers fans are probably the most eager to get the 2014-2015 season started. LeBron James decided to return to his stomping grounds where he learned to play the game of basketball in the state of Ohio. Basketball fans will be glued to their television screens to watch LeBron coming out of the visitor’s looker room at American Airlines Arena on December 25th as the Cavs and the Heat face off for on Christmas day.

Derek Rose will make his return as he will play for team USA in the FIBA World Cup this year. Bulls fans are excited to see Rose’s return since he has been sidelined with multiple injuries which caused him to sit out the majority of the 2013-2014 season.

Even at the ripe age of 35, 18 year veteran, Kobe Bryant is still one of the best players in the game. The Los Angeles Lakers where in unfamiliar territory when they missed the playoffs last year while Kobe only played six games because of injury. With the Lakers losing out to New York and Cleveland in bids for Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James, The Black Mamba needs to a “Kobe” like season to restore faith in their fans.

Phil Jackson wasted no time after becoming President of Basketball Operations for the New York Knicks. He began with convincing Carmelo Anthony to stay in New York, he hired Derek Fischer as Head Coach, and picked up a steal in the 2nd round of the 2014 draft by selecting Cleanthony Early from Wichita State.

The San Antonio Spurs will return with the same championship team from the 2013-2014 season. With Kawhi Leonard having his coming out party on the biggest stage the game of basketball can offer, the NBA Finals, Lenard is expected do big things this upcoming season.

ESPN.com reports some of the must watch games of the season include the battle of Texas with the Dallas Mavericks verses San Antonio Spurs on October 28th. On October 30, the Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks will face the LeBron James and his Cavaliers in Cleveland. On Christmas day, the Cavs will face the Miami Heat.
