Nature is where peace resides. If you have ever hiked out into nature where there are no cars or buildings, no roads or street lights, you can say that you truly know the value of America’s wilderness places. Have you ever noticed that when you sit alone in nature nothing is there to work against you? Everything is at home there, peaceful and perfect. Something you are missing in your life is the natural elements. But if you venture out into nature you have filled a hole in your life that was there. Those that have found their personal getaway will find health, peace and happiness. The sound of a cricket in the day time and a lone robin singing on a branch far off ring of solitude. Life gives in to no one but that is because it's not trying to defeat you, it's trying to get you back into nature.
Those that have found truth in these words know what it's like to have a mind where no thoughts invade and where peace of mind is real. If you find yourself unable to relax or heal you are experiencing the “hole” that needs filling. And if you cannot sleep or get happy then that hole needs to be filled. Humans are not meant to live in the technology and electrical field that today’s paved society is built in. That field causes a lot of the medical issues that we are dealing with today; you won't find that in nature. What you will find is peace of mind and healing in all capacities. Science has already proved the healing power of nature exists and there are many people that will swear by its ability to heal and rejuvenate their mind and body. We as humans started in nature and without all the distractions and health issues of today’s society. So it is only natural to go back to our roots when we want to find the cure for something.
There are many places in the Louisville Kentucky and surrounding places where you can go to get away from everything and get back to the healing power of nature, where you can go and heal in mind and body in a natural setting. And the time is right, summer is right at our heels and camping, hiking and adventuring season is here. Around the Louisville area these are some real good places that are easily accessible.
• Jefferson county memorial forest trails
• Tioga Falls and trail
• Horine reservation campground and trails
• Saunders springs and trails
