The National Weather Service issues Winter Storm Warning for later today

While we were sleeping last night, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Randolph County for later today and overnight.

All of the rain that we received last night after midnight totaled .39” and more is on the way today. Later this afternoon it is expected to change over to snow. According to the national Weather Service it may fall at the rate of 2” per hour. At this rate, it could accumulate as a slushy mess on the roadways and bridges.

They are calling for 2 to 4 inches of snow in the warning area.
