Today, November 15, the National Press Club holds its 34th Annual Book Fair and Author’s Night. Ninety nationally recognized authors will descend on the Club’s 14th St. headquarters in Northwest DC. Here’s a sampling of some of the household names attending, selling, and autographing their books:
- Senator Joe Lieberman
- Former senator Bob Graham
- Conservative author Ann Coulter
- PBS News anchor Jim Lehrer
- Georgetown Cupcake proprietors and DC Cupcake stars Katherine Kallinis and Sophie LaMontagne
Local authors David O. Stewart (previously profiled here) and Alexandria-based author and veteran Thomas W. Young (previously interviewed for the Washington Independent Review of Books) are also scheduled to appear.

The National Press Club's doors to the event at 5:30 pm. Members are admitted for free. The general public may attend for a $5 admission fee. In addition to book sales and signings, the Club will hold a raffle to benefit its Journalism Institute.
Known as “The Place Where News Happens,” the National Press Club has served Washington and the world for more than a century. The private club for journalists and communications professionals is also a conference and meeting facility, hosting thousands of prestigious events for clients both local and global.
