Some of the events that are coming up, including the Songster Bus Competition, are described here in a press notice from The Nashville Connection.

"Buy your tickets for The Nashville Connection events and enjoy live concerts from big-name Nashville stars and up-and-coming artists. Our events aren't just for performers, they're for all music lovers.

As a sponsor of The Nashville Connection, you'll gain publicity for your business while supporting our causes and future stars. We support worthy military causes including the Special Forces Association, Not Alone, and Hugs for Healing flights.

This one-of-a-kind opportunity will pair aspiring singer/songwriters with hit songwriters with the goal of writing the next hit song. This year, four Songster buses carrying teams of singers and songwriters will travel from Nashville, TN and Atlanta, GA to Greenville, SC — will you be on one?"

This is not for country songwriters only. It also includes Pop/Rock and R&B/Urban Crossover. The steps in the competition are:

"Each contestant will jump on board and write a song with a hit songwriter and a pre-selected team of six contestants.

Each bus will be on the road for 7 hours, from the time the contestants get on the bus in Nashville, TN until their feet hit the ground in Greenville, SC on March 11.

The Songster Bus will be a complete and total brainstorming session with the goal of writing the next hit song. Each bus will have 2 groups of songwriters.

There will be set rehearsal times for the teams to finish and perfect the song they have written. Once the buses arrive in Greenville, teams will compete against each other.

Upon arrival in Greenville, SC, each group will compete in front of a celebrity judge panel. One group will be named the Songster Bus winners. The winners will receive an incredible opportunity prize package, which will include performing during our Heroes Salute Gala finale in front of our A-list recording artist."

The slideshow in this article features the veteran songwriters who are going to be on the buses. Also, be sure an watch the video of David Craig, won a sponsorship to The Songster Bus at an event at The Handlebar in Greenville, SC.
