The Narooma News seeks help identifying UFO spotted in Dalmeny

On Monday, January 23, 2012, a woman in Dalmeny spotted a UFO in the clear night skies north of Narooma. The incident took place at 10:00 p.m. The witness reported the UFO sighting to the Narooma News. In turn, they have reached out to their readers for help identifying the unidentified falling object.

According to the Narooma News, the UFO could have landed in Tilba, or continued in the direction of Antarctica or Chile. The witness described the object. “It was coming down dead straight, but it wasn’t a flare, a comet or a shooting star. It was weird.”

The UFO was motionless and exceptionally large. It was bright, orange-red, and seemed to be engulfed in flames. The witness feared that the object might start a fire when it reached the ground, but she did not see any evidence of flames long after the UFO disappeared from her view.

The Narooma News is interested in hearing from other witnesses who observed the strange UFO on Monday night. The object was cigar-shaped, but vertical. The flames seemed to be emanating from its center. Could it have been debris from the Russian space probe Phobos-Grunt? Your comments are welcome.
