6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began."(1 Corinthians 2:6-7)
Books can be found on almost on any subject. They are found in libraries, stores, electronically, etc. They are read in coffee shops and most anywhere one can take a book. Authors have written from their knowledge and experience. The learning can help the reader increase in knowledge.
Human wisdom found in the books cannot compare to God’s wisdom. His wisdom has eternal significance that instructs humans in salvation from sin and death. Jesus Christ is the manifestation of the wisdom of God. He is life and gives abundantly to all who believe in Him. Human wisdom will altogether disappear, but God’s wisdom will infinitely remain.
The Scriptures call God’s wisdom, a mystery. A mystery has an element of secrecy and may conceal facts or knowledge. The understanding is hidden and must be sought out. A person given the opportunity to choose God then can receive His wisdom. They are given the Holy Spirit in response to his or her faith in Christ. The Holy Spirit reveals the hidden understanding about God to them. He leads by the truth and speaks only what He hears from Heaven. The mature in Christ Jesus seek God. His message is made clear to gain clarity.
The message of wisdom is salvation through Jesus Christ. God wants for all to receive this message. He sends out His messengers to proclaim it throughout the world. The message carries the understanding of life with God and death separated from Him. Humans can choose this pure wisdom from above and one day stand in the presence of God to worship Him throughout eternity. Their names have been written in the Lambs (Jesus) book of life.
Challenge: Believer, you have been granted pure wisdom and the Godly understanding of the mystery of Jesus' message. It is always time to proclaim this message to others. Amen.
