The Muppets have done so many things over the years that it's quite difficult to pinpoint a greatest moment or pick your favorite. Their movies have been magnificent. Their performances spectacular. Still, until the reveal by SPIN on Aug. 12, 2014, The Muppets had not yet sung the hit "So What'cha Want" from the awesome Beastie Boys.
Seeing Muppets rap is something rather new, but it works extremely flawlessly and has made the latest video go viral.
Director Mylo the Cat has taken old footage of Animal, Beaker, and the Swedish Chef and decided to set it to music. Not just any music, but one of the most iconic songs of all time in "So What'cha Want" from the Beastie Boys.
The original video was the trio of Muppets singing the Irish classic "Danny Boy."
AVClub reports that Adam Schleichkorn of Mylo the Cat has attempted to mash together popular songs with The Muppets before, but nothing like this. This popular trio has even sung "Carol of the Bells" before when Christmas rolled around.
No-one can forger when The Muppets also took on Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" in tremendously awesome fashion.
Still, this rendition of the 1992 hit "So What'cha Want" has taken the Internet by storm and with great reason. Sure, it's only a minute long, but it's still something you'll end up watching repeatedly.
The ending comes complete with the hashtag of #ripMCA" for the late Adam Yauch who died of cancer back in 2012. Even though the Beastie Boys will live on forever; this is a touching tribute with great moves from The Muppets.
