The Moulin Rouge returns to The Shelter for RITUAL this Friday

Beautiful can-can dancers, gentlemen in top hats, non-stop music, and frivolity galore--this is how we remember the Moulin Rouge.  The "red mill" cabaret opened in the late 19th century in Paris, but did you know that it is still in business today?  We might not all be able to fly to Paris to party at the original Moulin Rouge, but this Friday the Moulin Rouge will come to us at The Shelter for RITUAL.

It has been one year since the last RITUAL Moulin Rouge.  There were can-can dancers and plenty of Victorian attire.  Melissa Coffey put on a stellar performance that wowed the audience, and DJ Nemesis and Spin Monkey played a vairety of music that kept the crowd going all night long.  The theme was such a huge success, that it simply had to be done again.

This time, Marilyn Chen will be playing the role of Sparkling Diamond and will delight us with a performance to remember.  DJ Spin Monkey is back for another round at the Parisian cabaret and will be joined by Shelter resident DJ Silk Wolf.  For added flair, RITUAL's themed visuals will display on the bar screens, taking everyone back to the original heyday of the Moulin Rouge.

RITUAL Moulin Rouge will take place this Friday, February 10 at The Shelter.  The Shelter is located at 2101 Tula St. NW 30309, where there is plenty of free parking.  The cover for RITUAL is $10 for 21 and up.  The doors will open at 9pm and close at 3am.
