On Sunday May 4, 2014 the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) in Queens, NY will proudly host The 2014 Mamas Expo (ME14) for local parents, expectant mothers and children. The Mamas Expo will offer an abundance of opportunities for expo goers to participate in workshops, view demonstrations, enjoy performances, and learn about the best products and services available to families in the New York City area.
Over 4,000 attendees visited the Mamas Expo in 2013 to celebrate parenthood and enjoy a fun day out with their children. The 2014 expo is expecting an even larger turn out and hopes to further spread information and resources to locals. “The primary mission of the Mamas Expo is to empower parents to make informed decisions for their children by giving them easy access to some of the best local services, entertainment, activities, specialists, and products currently available to them.” says Leni Calas co-founder of the Mamas Expo. “Its second mission is to celebrate how much fun parenting in New York City can be.”
Among the partners who regularly attend the Mamas Expo are local cultural institutions such as Music Together, The Moonwalk NYC, New York Hall of Science, Queens Mamas, Offspriing Magazine, Wildlife Conservation Society, Queens Botanical Garden, PLAY Greenpoint, Twinkle Playspace, WNYC, Fruit Bliss, Flushing Town Hall and others who host interactive demonstrations and performances throughout the day. “We carefully curate the exhibitors at our event to make sure they are relevant to NYC parents and offer something valuable to the community,” says Calas. “Many exhibitors at the Mamas Expo are parents themselves who want to share their business with local families. The Mamas Expo serves as the perfect platform to launch new products to New York City based parents and children.”
The Mamas Expo makes it easy and affordable to attend the event by offering free expo access with NYSCI admission or membership. The event welcomes all parents, expectant moms, children, and their caregivers no matter their economic or cultural background which in turn makes it one of the most diverse events of its kind in New York City.
From finding new local classes and schools, to the best innovative products and retail stores, expo goers will receive an exclusive look at all of the new resources available to make sure they are in-the-know!
Families will enjoy:
- Loads of free giveaways from some of the coolest kids and baby brands.
