The most ridiculous celebrity merchandise and product endorsements

Lady Gaga Tour Bubbles $5.00

Selling records today doesn't always equate into a lot of money. Singers tend to make their bucks selling merchandise at their concerts and through their official website stores. While I don't have any qualms about artists making money this way (not that they have a choice as record companies suck their sequined wallets dry) but the following items make me go, “Oh my god! I can't believe Kylie is selling a book, having her star as a fairytale princess! How vain is that? I'm forwarding this link to all my friends!”

Lady Gaga Bubbles $5.00

This is supposed to be a commemorative item from her Fame tour. The label on the pink bubble bottle reads, “Fans were given bubbles to break the separation of exhibitionist and observer creating a seamless interaction between the audience and performer.”

Dress it up and charge how much you want, but at the end of the day a bottle of bubbles is still a bottle of bubbles.

Kylie Minoque The Showgirl Princess Book used from .15 cents on Amazon

“A true fairytale full of glitter, glamour, and dreams!”

“Sparkle. Dazzle. Twinkle. Shine. Kylie's about to become a Showgirl Princess! But when her oh-so-gorgeous shoes go missing, can her special team of friends save the day? A girl just can't be a princess without her glittery slippers. With beautiful brand new photos and a sprinkling of Kylie magic throughout, it's pure fabulousness all the way!”

Britney Spears Toxic Laundry Bag $14.99

Britney Spears has had a lot of ridiculous merchandise over the years. She even released her dolls (remember those) soon after releasing her first album.

Now, I know this particular item creatively uses one of her song titles to coincide with it but what artist wants one of their songs to be paired up with the image of dirty laundry?

Avril Lavigne Girlfriend Comic $12.99

Avril's “Girlfriend” video is one of the most watched Youtube videos ever. During the time this video was released, Avril started incorporating dancing into her videos and concerts, wearing more pink (mixed with stars and skulls, of course), and was married. I always find it odd when an artist releases a song about being single when they are in fact, very much married. Nonetheless, someone thought there was enough story line within this song to produce a book.

Backstreet Boys Burger King Kids Meal toys check ebay

A few years, Backstreet Boys paired up with Burger King to sell Whoppers and 'N Sync and Britney Spears partnered up with McDonalds to sell McChickens. Not only did Burger King sell limited edition of BSB CDs and videos but also deposited a Backstreet Boy member figurine into kids' meals.
